Ashley Young and Gabby Agbonlahor are heading to America for speed-training sessions with Michael Johnson.
The sprint legend, who won four Olympic gold medals over 200m and 400m, has convinced Aston Villa boss Martin O’Neill he can inject even more pace into his two England fliers.
Johnson, 41, runs a summer sprint academy in his hometown Dallas.
And he said: “Both have speed which helps them stand out from the rest.
“But they can still improve by a significant margin.”
