Ferguson: No More Deal For United

Following the capture of Partizan Belgrade midfield duo Zoran Tosic and Adem Ljajic today, Manchester United manager Sir Alex Ferguson has announced that there will be no more transfer business for the champions this January.

“Tosic has joined us immediately, his work permit is through,” Ferguson explained today.

“He’s a young player, he’s 21. He’s a wide left player, we like wide players at this club. We’ve been watching him for over a year.

“He’s now a regular in the Serbia national team. Hopefully he does well.

“We’ll give him time; he’s not played since December 10, he’ll need time to adjust; to get used to the tempo of our game and also the training.

“Ljajic is a very good young player, he’s 17 years of age. He will join us next year.”

After summing up the situation with the two young Serbs, Ferguson also revealed that there will be no more transfer business for United this season, and he will be concentrating on developing the players already at his disposal.

“So that’s the end of the transfer business for Manchester United for this season,” the Scotsman continued.

“They’re young players and whenever we bring young players here we always feel we can develop them.

“They’ve got decent ability and good ideas of the game.”
