Dimitar Berbatov could miss Manchester United’s weekend trip to Aston Villa after picking up a hip injury with Bulgaria.
The striker, 27, is also ready to quit international football after lasting just half an hour of the Bulgarians’ humiliating 6-1 loss in Serbia last night.
Berba, who has 47 caps, has been criticised over recent poor displays for his country.
His agent Emile Danchev revealed last night: “Dimitar said to me that, because people blame him for Bulgaria’s bad performances, he is ready to quit the national team.”
